Think of a time when you had an idea-- one that solved a problem or effectively dealt with a situation. (It doesn't have to be anything earthshaking. It could be how you managed to get into work in a new way or dealt with a traffic jam. Or it could be something more lasting, such as how you got into a particular job, or decided to get into, and maintain, a relationship.) Whatever it is, enjoy the memory of it for a bit. Relive it in your mind. Then click on all the characteristics that that you experienced in each of your creative stages:
Stage 1 - Before - when you had the problem but hadn't developed the solution.
Stage 2 - During - the time you had the idea, the Eureka moment or process.
Stage 3 - After - the period of time when you implemented (or didn't implement) the idea.
